PHIL THAMES has over 18 years of strategic business experience in global technology deployment, operations and consulting. Currently Phil leads the infrastructure organization responsible for Dell's Healthcare Information Exchange service offering.
Previously at Dell, Phil was Director of Network Services for Dell Services largest account. Phil has also served as Global Service Delivery Manager for the Enterprise Technology Consulting organization. In this role Phil ensured each of the organization's 82 engineers provided successful implementations, transitions and consulting engagements for network-related technologies. The team pioneered a novel approach to global deployment, leading to the top score in both customer and associate satisfaction.
Among Phil’s other accomplishments at Dell include leading the team which designed and deployed a global Cisco-based IP Telephony and service desk solution linking sites in six countries on three continents – the first ever of its kind. Phil lead the corporate strategic direction for Converged Communications and his team successfully converted over a dozen customers from traditional telephony systems to VOIP.
Prior to Dell Phil was at The VIA Group, a leading unified communications solutions integrator, where he held the position of Senior Technologist. From 1999-2002 Phil was Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Vergent Corporation, a customer contact management consultancy with offices in Dallas, Orlando, Los Angeles, and New York City where he oversaw Operations and Professional Services.
Among the technical solutions Phil has designed and implemented include Microsoft, CitiGroup, JPMorgan/Chase, Boeing, Vought, Continental Airlines, Computer Associates, Moody’s Investors, Cooper Industries, GMAC, FDIC, Tenet Healthcare Systems, Catholic Healthcare West, and CHS Hospitals.
